wtf, I didn’t even know the game was still in production. I just assumed it was finished when I played it like 10 years ago.
For all intents and purposes, it was finished. 0.10 was functionally the final release, since kikiyama pretty much vanished after that, and even the pseudo-official fanpage has long since succumbed to link-rot and bot hijacks.
And now, a whole decade after the game was effectively done and abandoned, it got licensed for a Steam release out of nowhere with fucking Kadokawa hyping up a new project for it.
It’s like someone necromanced the damn thing or burned a Monkey Paw wish on it.
